Step 1:
A fellow apprentice and I spent 1 hour trying to work out how we can use the printing machine by connecting our USB with the computer, but turns out we just have to slice the model and then put it onto the hard drive... After that, things were mostly smooth.
Step 2:
I used Tinkercad to create my model; I combined a heart base with a teddy bear that's laying down, which gives off the valentines vibe. I plan to add pigmentation or paint to make the 3D model more lively.
✶ Reflection ✶
I kept putting off this project during the winter term, and I now regret not starting it earlier because after seeing my actual 3D print coming to life... I want to make more. A whole army. I think it's quite simple to create and find models; on the day of my printing, I came across Cam, and discovered he was printing a mechanical orrery so you can spin it around. I'm going to go online and search for some model or design my own models when I have free time this term.
