Translating (and) World Literature across the University

In the face of ongoing institutional challenges, this conference addresses how world literature can attain greater purchase across the university.

Scholarship on World Literature and Translation Studies has gained renewed prominence in the scholarly landscape:

• How might interdisciplinary fields such as these collaboratively or individually stake a claim for more visibility on campus?

• How do we translate in 2021 the relevance of translation and literature in translation to students, colleagues, and administrators?

• As all fields and disciplines are affected by translation, how might it serve as a generative and collaborative force across disciplines?

• What opportunities exist for student-faculty collaborative research focused on translation?

• How might translation and world literature serve in configuring global citizenship? How might translation be particularly suited to digital learning?
