Denver Public Library identified a gap in their services for the school-aged population. They set to work creating Programming in a Box, which included the following kits:
Based on the success of those kits and the identified need for more STEM opportunities for school-aged people in Denver, Cori Jackamore, TITLE HERE, submitted a proposal to an established library funder. The proposal included a 30-hour employee, funding for STEM Camps (7 locations, 2 per year per location) and funding for STEM in a box kits.
Chandra Jones was hired as the STEM Program Administrator in January 2016. New STEM in a box kits were added as they were created during the year, totaling 23 available kits by the end of that year.
