If you’ve tried counselling, therapy or coaching but still feel a bit stuck, you’re not alone.
Do you recognise yourself in any of the following?
overanalysing and finding it hard to switch off
feeling stuck or procrastinating
doubting your choices or looking to others for reassurance
struggling to set or maintain healthy boundaries
feeling pulled in different directions or saying yes when you mean no
carrying stress physically (tension, fatigue, restlessness)
Talking helps us understand things, but it doesn’t always change how we feel or respond. This way of working – called equine assisted coaching, combines guidance from a skilled psychological wellbeing practitioner and a highly intuitive horse. The experience can bring clearer insight into how you are feeling and responding, often in ways that are hard to access through talking alone.
Horses are naturally sensitive to what’s going on around them. As prey animals, they are tuned into subtle shifts in body language, tension, and energy. They don’t judge or overthink; they simply respond to what they sense in the present moment.
The horse provides immediate, honest feedback, bringing you out of your head and into awareness of what’s really happening beneath the surface. Rather than just talking about change, you can experience it, so you learn how to feel calmer, set clearer boundaries, and respond with greater confidence.
I came to this way of working through my own experience of how powerful it is to step out of constant thinking and into something more grounded and present.
After many years of working in psychological therapy and coaching, I saw that insight alone isn’t always enough, people can understand their patterns, want to change, but still feel stuck.
Working alongside horses brings something different. It creates a space where change can be felt, not just thought about.
That’s why I’m so passionate about this approach. It offers a calm, practical, and deeply effective way for people to reconnect with themselves and progress with greater clarity and confidence.
1:1 sessions take place in an environment that reflects the unpredictability of real life, supporting you to learn the skills to stay grounded even when things aren’t always perfect.
No horse experience needed
Fully guided, supportive approach
No riding, just connection
Space to slow down, reflect, and reset
