Internship Information
Thank you for your interest in the National Redistricting Foundation (NRF). NRF’s mission is to dismantle unfair electoral maps and create a redistricting system based on democratic values. The Litigation and Policy Department develops and provides legal and policy analysis to achieve the organization’s mission.
NRF offers legal and policy internship opportunities for current JD, MPP, and MPA candidates during Spring, Summer, and Fall. Our internships are designed to be an integral part of your educational experience, offering practical skills and insights that complement your academic studies. Applications for 2025 semesters are now closed, and applications for 2026 are open. Summer internships are full time (up to 40 hours per week) and Spring & Fall internships are part time (up to 20 hours per week).

Internship Descriptions
Legal interns will be supervised by an attorney on staff and will work to help support our litigation portfolio, analyze legislative measures, conduct research on legal issues, and generally contribute to the work of the broader team.
Interns will support research towards policy analysis, assist with advocacy around federal and state legislation and executive action, and help develop public education content. Interns will work with the team to facilitate programmatic goals and strategies.
