Internship Information
Thank you for your interest in the National Redistricting Action Fund (NRAF). NRAF is the 501(c)(4) affiliate of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC). The mission of NRAF is to harness the power of people and the courts to dismantle unfair electoral maps and create a redistricting system based on democratic values. By helping to create more just and representative electoral districts across the country, we also hope to restore the public’s faith in a true representative democracy.
NRAF offers paid internship opportunities during Spring, Summer, and Fall, for current undergraduate and graduate students only. Our internships are designed to be an integral part of your educational experience, offering practical skills and insights that complement your academic studies.
We accept applications on a rolling basis, and currently have all semesters for 2026 open. If you applied for our internship program for our 2025 cohorts or earlier, please reapply to be considered for any of the 2026 cohorts. Summer internships are full time (up to 40 hours per week) and Fall internships are part time (up to 20 hours per week).

Technical Considerations
This role requires access to a computer or laptop that can operate Google Suite seamlessly.
Applicant familiarity with Google Suite (GMail, GCal, GDocs, Sheets, Etc.) is preferred. To learn more about using Google Suite, visit the Google Workspace Learning Center.

Internship Descriptions
The Brand, Creative, and Social Team (aka BCS) oversees the organization’s social media properties, branding, marketing, and creative materials.
The Communications Team manages the organization’s outreach to news media and reporters.
The Finance Team engages with high dollar donors and foundations that support democracy work.
The Mapping Team oversees all things related to mapping and data, such as district analysis and map development using GIS and other tools.
The Mobilization Team manages the organization’s email and text programs, digital advertising, and grassroots fundraising
The Political and Campaigns Team engages with elected officials, candidates running for public office, political partners, and grassroots volunteers about redistricting issues and opportunities.
