Arkadia, 2016

Images of happy and seductive consumption surround us every day. The images of the unjust reality fundamental for this consumptionist carnival, even if they surround us too, we try not to see, to move them out of vision. In this group of sculptures I have tried to include both sides of the coin in the same composition. The Warsaw commercial center „Arkadia” was inspiration for me. Arcadia, for me this name symbolizes various mythological and fairy tale locations, where a class of beings enjoys themselves (Greek gods on the Olympus, Norse gods in Asgard etc), while groups of eternal servants (dwarves, cyclopes and many others) work endlessly for their comfort.
