Weekly Tasks for K-3

Learning Target: To participate daily in physical activity at moderate to vigorous intensity levels

Week 11: Final Week Challenge

Watch Mike demonstrate the challenge "Basket Flip Chaos", then gather the required equipment and give it a go. You may attempt this challenge as many times as you like. Don't forget to post your scores on Google Classroom OR email to jrowa@deltalearns.ca.

Week 10 (June 8-12): Virtual Sport's Day

This coming Friday would have been our Sports Day celebration at Holly. Because we are not able to partake in the Sports Day events at school, your task this week is to complete the various virtual stations/events posted on the Sports Day page. If you don't have the exact same materials required, feel free to improvise or if you aren't able to complete one of the events, feel free to skip it! Your job this week is to complete as many of the stations as you can, and to have fun doing them. I also challenge you to make up your own event (be creative!) and of course feel free to indulge in a "freezie station"!

Week 9 Task (June 1-5)

This week, your task is to complete The 5-4-3-2-1 Workout each day. Your muscles will likely be sore and tired after the first day or two, but push through! The stronger your muscles become the less sore they will be. Put on some upbeat music while you are completing this task; it'll help motivate and energize you :)

Week 8 Task (May 25-29): Choose your own PE adventure

Your task this week is to complete one (or more) of the activities posted on the K-3 Activities page each day. One day may be a GO Noodle while the next might be an intense themed workout, followed by a yoga session the following day. Whatever you choose, be sure to mix it up and challenge yourself. Please post your daily choices on our Google Classroom or send me a quick email outlining what your PE adventure looked like.

Week 7 Task (May 19-22)

Complete three lines on this Bingo card OR try to get a blackout!

Bingo Round 2: May 19-22

Week 5 & 6 Task (May 4-17)

For the next 2 weeks, your assignment is to track and record the daily activity you are completing. Please feel free to use any of the links posted in your grade group to guide you through different exercises/activities OR choose your own activities. You may print the assignment and fill it out, or fill it out directly on your device. Whichever you choose, please submit to Ms Rowa by Tuesday, May 19th via Google Classroom or via email (jrowa@deltalearns.ca). Don't forget to complete the Weekly Challenge and submit your scores by this Wednesday (May 6th). Also, look for the new Weekly Challenge coming on Wednesday :)

Week 3 Task ( April 20-24)

This week, your task is to complete the Alphabet Workout! Pick a name (first and last, or first, middle and last if you want a real challenge!) The longer the name, the better workout you'll get. I challenge you to pick one name to complete per day. Open the doc and watch the clip of me, Ms Rowa, breaking down each exercise. Don't forget to post the names you complete in our Google Classroom! Have fun!
