As you listen to the story think about your favourite colour or colours and how they make you feel.
Are there certain colours you wear when you are feeling happy? sad? scared? shy? excited?
How are you feeling now? Choose a colour for that emotion and draw and/or paint a picture using only that colour. The picture can be of anything you want.
Write the sentence "I am feeling _________ so I drew/painted with ________"
I am feeling nervous so I painted with blue
Design a playground.
If you were in charge of designing your dream playground, what would you have in it?
It could be an inside or outside space.
It could use natural materials, or futuristic plastics and metal.
You could design it for any age group. It could be for the very young, or the very old or your own age.
It could be an outdoor learning space, sports facility, adventure playground, ninja course....etc. Use your creativity.
For your design you can use pencil and paper (with felts and pencil crayons) or if you are feeling really creative you can create it out of what you have handy in your house.
Make sure to label the parts of your playground. Have fun and be creative!
Mad Science Promo has simple and fun experiments you can do at home with ingredients you have around your house.
Explore the website and pick ONE (or more if you want to) experiment to try at home.
With an adult's help, conduct the experiment. Did it work?
Conduct an experiment with the help of an adult
Draw a picture of what you did
Conduct one or two experiments with the help of an adult.
Draw a picture of the experiment. In 3-5 sentences describe what happened in the experiment(s). Did the experiment turn out how you expected? Did it work?
Conduct one or two experiments.
In 5-7 sentences describe what happened in the experiment(s). Were you able to recreate this experiment the same way it was in the video? What is the science behind the experiment?
Try altering your experiment and see if you get different results.
For example - my sons and I did the "Ghost Bubbles" experiment (see below) and we added extra corn syrup to see if the bubbles got 'ghostier'.
I did the "Ghost Bubbles" experiment with my sons. Our bubbles didn't turn out as 'ghosty' as in the video but the bubbles lasted longer than normal bubbles and left a bit of a 'ghosty' film where they landed.
Here is the link to the video explaining how to do the "Ghost Bubbles" experiment I did with my sons -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUc7Zy_YqPA
Everyone needs to have a say, have a turn and be right and, remember to apologize if we don't show respect to our friends.
Listen to the story.
Why is Howard Wigglebottom sad at the beginning of the story?
Why are his friends unhappy with him and what does he do to fix things with them?
Make a connection to the story -- was there a time when you acted the way Howard did or someone treated you the way Howard treated his friends?

In David’s words, “Our first live eagle nest cams reached and taught more people in a 4 month period than I had in all my years of lectures combined. This is the way of the future.”"
