Hi Hawthorne Hawks!

We miss seeing your smiling faces in the gym and connecting with you during PE.

The good news is that getting outside and being active (while remaining socially distant) is still something we can do at this time. We hope you have all had an opportunity to spend time outside each day doing something that makes you happy, such as going for a family walk, riding a bike, dancing, skipping, or simply playing. Fresh air and physical activity have positive effects on both our physical and mental health.

Canada's physical activity guidelines recommend at least 60 minutes of moderate- to vigorous-intensity physical activity daily. This does not need to be done all at once but can be accumulated throughout the day.

Although we are not able to connect in person at this time we would still like to connect remotely. This site is created as a resource with ideas for maintaining well-being while at home. Please let us know if you try any of the activities and which ones you enjoy the most. We would love to see and hear what you are doing to stay active!

Please send an email and include photos if you wish.

Hope to see you all soon!

Mrs. Mack (hmack@deltasd.bc.ca), Mrs. Veperts, and Ms. Villegas
