Welcome to Career and Technical Education 7! My name is Mrs. Dobleman and I am looking forward to working with all of you this school year. As in all of your classes this year, success requires time and hard work. I believe that every student in this class can be successful if they do the following: Welcome challenges and work together.



Class overview

Welcome to 7th Grade Career and Technical Education! This is a semester-long course designed as an introduction to the Career & Technical Education opportunities at the High School level. Students will participate in a project-based learning environment, where they will gain knowledge and skills in areas such as career readiness, life literacies, computer science, and design thinking. Students will engage in a variety of hands-on projects, working both collaboratively and independently. Projects will integrate a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to iSTEM, Marketing, Accounting, CAD, Networking, Digital Design and Horticulture. This course will follow the New Jersey State Learning Standards for Computer Science and Design Thinking with assessments based on teacher observations, hands-on projects, cooperative learning experiences, and class participation.

  • M.S in Education from Rutgers University

  • Special Education Certification from Rutgers University

  • 5th year at Delsea Middle School

  • Prior to teaching I was an Account Executive for the American Red Cross, Biomedical Services

  • Hobbies:

    • Spending time with family

    • Cooking and baking

    • Photography

    • Playing sports with my kids (#soccermom)

    • Traveling/Going to the beach
