What They Do: Students at Delphos Jefferson Middle School are making a big impact through their Student Council, known as the SWAG Group. Representing their peers, the council meets monthly to plan and organize a wide range of student activities and community service initiatives, including food, toy, and clothing drives, as well as “change wars’’ that raise funds for local causes. The group also leads “Love Your Neighbor’’ month with outreach projects throughout the community. In addition to service work, SWAG keeps school spirit high by organizing popular events such as spirit days, and student reward days that include a Halloween dance, a Christmas movie celebration, and the end-of-year school carnival.
