is a national curriculum that uses science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to foster problem solving and cooperative group work. Students work together to complete three activities over a specific topic, then students use the knowledge gained in the activities to create a project. After the project is completed, students are given a real-world problem to solve. The activities and project lead the students to successfully solve the problem. Students will then complete an assessment over the science involved in the module (unit of study). An integral part of PLTW is the concept "How can we make it better?" Students will be encouraged to stop in the design process and ask themselves, "How can we improve?"
