Welcome to Pacific Sky

I am so excited to be a 5th-grade teacher at Pacific Sky. I have been a member of the Del Mar Union School District family for 19 years and have loved every minute of it. I am so excited to start my 5th year at Pacific Sky and my 15th year with 5th graders!  I attended college in Missouri, where I earned degrees in education, vocal, and instrumental music. While in college, I also spent time training as a classical opera singer, where I was selected to perform in many operas as well as singing my way through a tour in Europe. I also hold credentials in educational administration with additional training in Quantum Learning, EEI, CGI Mathematics, and a Master's Degree in Social-Emotional Learning and Ethics. 

Because of my arts background, I truly believe that cross-curricular education is important. I understand that all students learn in different ways. All students have different interests and subjects that make learning fun. Our learning studio is full of diverse learning opportunities, student-led discussions, and deep thinking. ALL students can be successful if given the right tools for their individualized learning. In 5th Grade, we strive to create lifelong learners.
