Welcome to Pacific Sky

WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE!

I am very excited to be teaching second grade for another year at Pacific Sky!  This will be my 25th year in Del Mar. The last thirty years, I have taught mostly grades 3-5, at Ashley Falls and even a year remotely grades K-2! I received my BA in Liberal Studies and MA in Special Education from SDSU. I also have a supplemental credential in English and the BCLAD (Bilingual, Cross Cultural, Language and Academic Development) credential.

I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for 25 years, and we have two beautiful daughters, Taylor, a senior, will graduate this year from Colorado State University and Casey, a sophomore, attends CU Boulder.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family this year!

Warmest Regards,

Sandy Johnson

I am so excited to meet your children and inspire them to grow academically!! I believe that all kids want to succeed and do well in their education. And it's my job to help them! I believe in helping learners reach their maximum potential and grow as socially responsible, global citizens. Empathy, kindness, curiosity, and respect are at the foundation of all interactions within our class.

Second grade is a wonderful year for academic growth! Students will strengthen their reading and writing skills while expanding their strategies and skills in math. Second graders will learn to be more independent for their learning while being collaborators with others.

Life Outside the Hangar

I love to cook, bake and exercise- pickleball is my newest sport! I also enjoy walking, watching movies, traveling, reading cooking magazines, and eating great food with my friends and family
