Welcome to Pacific Sky
Hello! My name is Mrs. Besaw and I will be your 5th grade teacher this year! I am so excited to be teaching at Pacific Sky!
This is my 10th year working in education! Prior to teaching at Pacific Sky, I taught at Del Mar Hills and Sage Canyon. I have experience teaching first, third, fifth, and sixth grade. In addition to teaching, I was an instructional coach for two years. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (go Badgers!) with a degree in Elementary Education. I also have my Masters Degree in Educational Administration! I am so thrilled to learn alongside the 5th grade students at Pacific Sky this year. Go Pilots!

Welcome to fifth grade! In order to engage students in learning, they need to see their strengths and interests visible in the classroom. As an educator, making learning personal to each student in my class is something I value greatly. This year, I look forward to building relationships and fostering a learning community of individuals who work together to learn and grow, respect each others' unique strengths, and persevere through challenges.
Our fifth grade team is committed to empowering students to become reflective learners and thinkers who utilize problem solving skills in academic and social situations.
