Welcome to Pacific Sky

I passionately believe that all students can succeed at exceptionally high levels with risk-taking, collaboration, and high-quality instruction. My goal as their teacher is to harness my student's love for learning by fostering their curiosity. 

This year in 5th grade, we will be finding adventure in classroom literature while engaging in Wonders. Students will be showing their voice through three forms of writing, including opinion, narrative, and expository. We will be using different problem-solving strategies, manipulating shapes in geometry, working with fractions, decimals, measurement, and engaging in algebraic thinking.  In 5th grade social studies, we dive into the age of exploration, U.S. history, and the 50 states. As a whole class, collaboration will be at the center of our focus. Lastly, in science, we will navigate through the water cycle, solar system, chemical reactions, and life science and use real-life applications through engineering and design focus. Students will learn in a flexible seating environment that will allow them to create in a space that fosters their curiosity and optimizes their greatest potential.
