Educational Background and Professional Experience: I have been teaching elementary school for 27 years. I have taught grade levels K-4th. This will be my 18th year teaching at Torrey Hills, and 16th year teaching third grade. I have a bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University, a California Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Master of Education with an Emphasis on Cross Cultural Education from National University.

Educational Philosophy
What I love most about teaching is ... the STUDENTS! I love watching them grow throughout the school year. It is my goal to ensure that all students grow in their academic, social, and emotional development in order to become well-rounded individuals. I will challenge all students to think critically, discuss and share ideas, and become confident lifelong learners. I will use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all my students. I look forward to partnering with you to make this a wonderful year together!

Life Outside of the Hawk's Nest
I am the proud parent of two boys. Spencer is 22 and Dylan is 20. We also have an adorable boxer puppy named, Cassius. When I am not teaching I enjoying camping, the beach, exercising, movies, watching football, and of course READING! Luckily, all of my family lives here in San Diego, so I’m able to do all of my “favorites” with them.
