Welcome to Pacific Sky

Welcome to Kindergarten!

Hello, I'm Kristine Persidok, and I'm thrilled to embark on a fantastic year with your children! From a young age, I knew teaching was my passion. I would spend countless hours "teaching" my stuffed animals, and now, two decades later, I'm still living my dream every day.

I am a proud graduate of San Diego State University and have dedicated the past 22 years to teaching in the Del Mar Union School District. Throughout my career, I've had the joy of teaching kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grades. However, kindergarten holds a special place in my heart. There's something truly magical about working with children at this age—they are full of wonder, excitement, and an eagerness to explore the world around them. Their enthusiasm and curiosity inspire me every day, making kindergarten my absolute favorite grade to teach!

Alongside my rewarding career, I’m also a proud mom to two amazing teenagers. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll often find me at the beach, soaking up the sun with my surf-loving family. My kids are usually out catching waves before I even head off to Pacific Sky! At home, my two dogs, Ziggy and Bogie, and two cats, Jo-Jo and Simon, keep life lively. I also find joy in tending to my garden and creating beautiful succulent arrangements in my peaceful, tropical backyard.

I’m eagerly looking forward to getting to know both you and your child this year. Let’s make it a wonderful year together!

My hope is that your child will remember that once, for a brief moment in time, in a magical place called kindergarten, when I was their teacher and they were five, we shared a year together! We will have become readers, mathematicians, and writers. We will have experienced how to be scientists, athletes, and artists. How to be classmates and citizens. How to share and take turns. And most importantly: how to be a friend. I will model and teach empathy, kindness, boundaries, and responsibility. How to handle big feelings, and how to deal with heartaches and sadness. I hope to teach your children what it means to be a part of something bigger than themselves and, at the same time, that it’s also okay to just be themselves! Cheers to great year!
