This is my wonderful family. Shad Mazepa, my husband, with my two sons. Brayden is 19 years old and is in his second year at Indiana University-Kelley School of Business. Camden is 14 years old and is a freshman at Torrey Pines High School. Both boys are graduates of Del Mar Heights.
Del Mar Heights has been my second home for 27 years! Our school is a hidden gem by the sea. My school family has not only made me the teacher I am today, but they have also educated my two boys which I will be forever grateful.
Teaching in the same district and school for my entire career has given me valuable professional development over the years. From Visual Thinking Routine training by Ron Ritchhart, to being on district committees and guiding my colleagues in their continuous professional growth has allowed me to get excited to try new approaches to advance my students' learning every year.

Philosophy- I will meet the needs of all my students both academically and socially by fostering a fun, safe, rigorous learning environment that provides opportunities to explore, be curious and thrive!

Life Outside of the Ocean
Outside of school, you will always find me spending time with my family. We launched our older son out of the nest last year and he landed at Indiana University-Kelley School of Business. We are trying to get used to having only one son under our roof. My younger son, Camden, plays competitive soccer for Del Mar/Carmel Valley Sharks 2009 ECNL team. If you see me on the field, please come up and say hi! I love seeing my families out and about in the community.
