Laura grew up in San Diego. She then attended the University of Redlands where she received her bachelor degree in Communicative Disorders. She then pursued her masters at California State University, Fresno in Communicative Disorders. In addition, she holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech language Hearing Association, a license in Speech Language Pathology from the state of California and a California Clinical/Rehabilitative Services Credential. Laura has experience in working with children age preschool through eighth grade. She is a PEERS for adolescents school-based certified trainer. What she enjoys most about working with children is being able to collaborate with the teachers, specialists, and parents to help every child be successful.

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am very lucky to be working with the amazing Torrey Hills team. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have about your child.
Mrs. Steggall's Educational Philosophy:
My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have an educational environment that suits their specific needs where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potentials. I believe all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. As a part of each child's IEP team, I develop goals appropriate to the individual student's needs. Your child is coming to therapy to work on skills that are difficult for them. Therefore, I try very hard to make therapy an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Life Outside of the Hawk's Nest
Laura values spending time with her family. She and her husband have one daughter, Emily. They enjoy camping, going to the beach and getting away to the mountains.
