Educational Background and Professional Experience: I attended college at The College of William & Mary in Virginia, majoring in psychology. Here in San Diego, I earned and cleared my general education multiple subject credential, mild/moderate education specialist credential, and moderate/severe education specialist credential. This will be my 7th year teaching special education and my 2nd year at Sycamore Ridge! I previously taught at a non-public school that focused on community based instruction and a public school in a 3rd-5th grade moderate/severe special education classroom.

Educational Philosophy
I believe that students learn best in an environment where they feel safe, loved, and valued. My goal is to make school that place for them. They should look forward to coming to school and school should be a place that helps them grow. Students have learning needs, skills, strengths, and interests that are unique to them and my goal is to get to know these. I value collaboration and communication with colleagues and parents and think that both are key to creating a successful school environment. I am so excited to kick off this year and get to know your children!
Life Outside of the Stallion's Stable
I grew up in New Jersey with 3 brothers and ventured out to San Diego after one too many winters! I got married in San Diego in 2021 and enjoy spending time with my husband and family (especially my 3-year-old niece and 5-year-old nephew). I also love running, going to the beach, drinking coffee, and of course, teaching!
