Ms. Vietro has been teaching in the Del Mar District since 2000. As a student at CSUSM, she earned degrees in both Literature and History. Ms. Vietro's love of children, education,and personal experiences with teachers drove her to the credential program. After earning her multiple subject credential and CLAD certification, she began teaching at Carmel Del Mar. Later, she moved into sixth grade at the Heights. Throughout her educational career in Del Mar she has taught first, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.
Ms. Vietro's passion for individualized instruction, parent/teacher relationships, and looking at the “whole” child continue to be at the forefront of her educational pedagogy. Every child has the potential to shine in a unique way. She is honored to be a part of children's journey to success.

Get ready for the fourth grade! We are about to embark on a remarkable learning adventure!
Together we will explore math topics that include place value, multiplication & division, area & perimeter, fractions, decimals, and geometry. In Language Arts, we will read and interpret various fiction and non-fiction texts, while bolstering our grammar and vocabulary. Our writing skills will advance through narratives, opinion pieces, and informational essays. In social studies, we will analyze California's history from native tribes to westward expansion, including the role of California's unique natural resources. Science investigation topics will include vision & light, waves, energy & motion, Earth's features, and energy conversions.
Throughout all of our experiences, we will also learn how to strengthen our emotional wellbeing and foster healthy, diverse social connections.
It will be a great year!
Ms. Vietro enjoys being outdoors, spending time at the beach, and reading a good book. She and her friends love to ride their electric bikes around town. She feels very blessed to work with her best friends. Outside of school she can be found spending time with her fourth/fifth grade teammates and her miniature Schnauzer, Doris Day!
