Educational Philosophy

I believe all students can be successful, and I enjoy helping students discover that for themselves.

What to Expect in 5th Grade

5th grade is an exciting year, students become more independent and self-motivated as they learn about time management, goal setting, communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills.  In fifth grade students learn how to analyze texts,  and publish narrative, informational, and persuasive writing pieces. Students continue their mathematical journey into Algebraic thinking, understanding place value, multiplying and dividing, Geometry, adding and subtracting fractions, and expanding on their knowledge of measurement and data. Students explore American History in Social Studies,  and the focus in Science will be Earth's place in the Universe.

Life Outside of the Stallion's Stable

JJ enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and dog.  She loves gardening, singing, acting, reading, cooking, and paddle boarding.
