- Hello! :) My name is Ms. Clar and I am so excited to be your Kindergarten teacher this year!
A little bit about myself as a teacher...
I went to undergraduate school in Upstate New York, called St. John Fisher College where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Childhood and Special Education. From there, I attended graduate school at the same institute where I received my Masters of Science degree in Literacy education, birth through 12th grade. I spent one year teaching first grade in NY, and then I moved to Arlington, VA . I taught one year of Special Education to third and fourth graders, and my remaining four years at Arlington I taught kindergarten! Three years ago, my family and I moved to San Diego where I taught first and kindergarten and Del Sycamore Ridge, Ashley Falls and this will be my second year at CDM. I am beyond excited to be back in kindergarten this year! I can't wait to create wonderful memories with our students and their families. Let's go Dragons! :)

Welcome families! We are so excited to be a special part of your child's academic journey this year! Your child can look forward to working in a safe, yet collaborative environment. As teachers we will create opportunities to build positive social relationships and foster social- emotional growth. In addition to building a strong sense of community in our classrooms our students will also look forward to personalized learning and academic vigor. Your child will gain knowledge on how to become flexible thinkers, problem solvers and develop a love for investigative learning! The kindergarten team is thrilled to work with you and your children as we embark upon this exciting school year!
