Educational Philosophy
My goal is to create a safe place for students to feel empowered to grow, learn and risk while participating in purposeful learning opportunities. I strive for each student to take ownership of their learning while building their confidence, critical thinking skills and building meaningful relationships. When they leave my classroom I want them to know that we have their back and we believe in them. I’m looking forward to working together to help students not only learn, but become responsible, respectful and caring members of their community.
What to Expect in 5th Grade
Our fifth grade class will be a place where students can grow academically, personally, and emotionally. Our goal as educators is to provide a safe learning space and encourage students to have a high level of independence, responsibility, and enthusiasm for learning. I understand the importance of us working together as a team: teachers, parents, students. Together we can do this!
I am 44 years young! I live in Poway with my husband Todd, our three kids, Mackenzie (7th grade), Benjamin (6th Grade), and Jacob (4th grade), and our black English Lab, Luna. I enjoy going to Padres games, being outdoors and creating memories with my family.
