Welcome to 6th Grade! Here's a little background information about me! I am a native San Diegan, growing up in both La Jolla and Scripps Ranch. My undergraduate work was completed at Northern Arizona University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Fitness and Wellness Management. I spent a couple of years running health programs for Hewlett Packard and Oracle in the Bay Area. I continued on to Dominican University for my graduate work, which consisted of a Teaching Credential and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Project Based Learning. This will be my 28th year of teaching and 26th year in the Del Mar School District!

I believe that a classroom should be a safe, caring community where students can discover their strengths and build off of them. I believe my job as a teacher is to facilitate that process and help students to learn by doing, exploring, and problem solving. Most of all, learning should be FUN and EXCITING!
Outside of being a teacher, I'm a wife, mother, and more specifically a soccer mom! Geoff works as a firefighter/paramedic. We have three kids, two dogs, and a cat!! Zach is 22 and just graduated from Chaminade University in Hawaii where he played soccer. He finished with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminology. Nick is almost 21 and attends Northern Arizona University where he majors in Business/Marketing and fraternity life 😅. Sierra is a freshman at Boise State University where she is playing soccer and majoring in Kinesiology. Even though I have some decent experience raising kids......it takes a village!
