In addition to academics, behavior and social-emotional well-being are essential to supporting the whole child. My goal is to be a safe and trusted ally for your child, and to help teach them skills that are equally important to a their academic success and overall well-being. The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) defines Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) as, “the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.”
After growing up in San Diego, I spent 8 years in the Bay Area and 10 years in Oregon before recently moving back San Diego. My wife and 2 kids (Henry is 5 and Izzy is 3) love to spend time exploring nature and playing at the beach, and we're excited to have more sunshine and less rain in our lives!
