Family -Melissa and I married in 2004 in Kauai. We have two boys, Finn (19) and Everett (18). Both boys spent their youth in competetive soccer. Finn will play his third season at Penn State New Kensington. Everett is off to Texas Tech University. Kaya is our furry friend we welcomed home during the pandemic. She brings tons of joy to our home.
For fun: surf, jog, hike, bbq, camp, yoga...being active...being busy...staying happy
Students, families, school, and teachers must work together to establish optimal learning. This adventure is not a solo mission. Working together, all kids will learn and will learn to love learning. I commit to giving students my 100% to reach the next level of learning while being a great contributor to the world. I strive to have students become self-starters, thinkers, and problem solvers. Every day is a new day, with a new opportunity.
Students should expect to be an active learner and thinker in and out of the classroom. Students can expect to participate in discussions and contribute to the learning. In my class, many students tend to "come out of their shell" because I offer a safe environment that is fun, friendly, open minded, and loving. Students will be given homework M-Th for about 40 minutes a day. Parents can offer assistance to their student, but to do so in a way that fosters independence.
Empty nest is beating at the door. August 23 we fly home from dropping Everett of at Texas Tech. At least we will come home to our furry dog daughter Kaya. This will begin a new chapter for Melissa and I. I am sure we will still spend weekend mornings watching Premier League on TV and do our normal fitness routines. Our favorite is a morning jog at the beach and enjoy coffee. Surfing is my preferred form of fitness and recreation. I do love exercising: jogging, gym, hiking, and yoga are my go-to's for when I cannot escape to the surf. In our free time, Melissa and I enjoy dinners out together, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
