KIndergarten is the best! I am excited to spend this year with your Kindergartener! This will be my 29th year teaching in Del Mar and I have loved every one! Kindergarten is a year of great growth-academically and socially. Our Kindergarten program is robust academically as well as socially and emotionally. Your child's safety and emotional well being are my main jobs. I believe children learn best when they feel loved and safe. We are going to have a great year together!

Kindergarten is a year of amazing social, emotional and academic growth. I am honored and excited to guide your child through this amazing time in their life. I believe Kindergarten is play based and children learn by doing. I treat each child as if they were my own. We are going to have a great year together!
Life Outside of the Ocean
I have lived all over the US from the deep south where I lived as a young child, to the Pacific Northwest, to college on the east coast. I chose San Diego as my home in my early 20's and have been happily teaching Kindergarten at Del Mar Heights since 1991. I am married and my husband, Vaughn, works at UCSD. We live in Pt. Loma. My daughter, Genevieve, is 19 and a sophmore at the University of South Carolina. We have two cute dogs, a naughty cat and a gecko. I love to go to the beach, work on my house and read.
