My Philosophy

As an educator, connection, care, and love are at the center of everything I teach. Each student deserves unconditional support and love that has no bounds or restrictions. Through music, I strive to show all students that they are safe and capable of creating in a way that is unique to them.

"The greatest thing we can do is to let people know that they are loved and capable of loving." -Fred Rogers

What to expect in STEAM+ Music

In STEAM+ Music, students will gain the knowledge needed to become intentional musicians. Lessons will incorporate fundamentals, improvisation, technology, listening, playing, movement, singing, and creativity to connect music to Students' interests and personalities. Students will experience music from many places, times, genres, and cultures.

At Ashley Falls, each student/grade level participates in an "Informance." This is a type of performance that showcases the learning that happens within the classroom. Students write their own song lyrics, chord progressions, orchestrations, movements, and more.

Through our music classes, we will learn to make meaningful musical choices & compositions, and ultimately gain the ability to understand and appreciate the music in our lives!

Life Outside of the Eagle's Nest

Outside of school, I love reading, paddle boarding, going to the beach, and

spending time with my husband, Adam, & our puppy, Macy!
