This will be my 22nd year working in education and I am thrilled to be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year.  In addition to teaching in Del Mar, I've taught in Los Angeles Unified, as well as at The Rhoades School and Encinitas Country Day School.  I also stepped away from classroom teaching for several years as the founder and director of a non-profit that worked to develop education in Ghana, West Africa.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy going to beach with my family and spending time with our boxer, Lucy.  I'm also an avid runner and will be running my 5th marathon in the fall. 

 Finally, I love to travel!  In addition to traveling to West Africa repeatedly over many years, I have lived in England and traveled throughout Europe.  I have also enjoyed traveling throughout Asia.  So far, I've visited China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand.  When staying near home, I love to go SCUBA diving and fishing in the Caribbean and Loreto, Mexico, and most recently French Polynesia.  The best part of traveling is that I get to share all of these experiences with my students in the classroom.
