Welcome to Pacific Sky
My name is Cristin Ebright and this is my 24th year teaching in the Del Mar Union School District, and my second at Pacific Sky. I have taught first through third grades.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology at San Diego State University. I worked in a school setting with children with developmental disabilities for 3 years before obtaining my teaching credential at Cal State San Marcos. I have been teaching in the Del Mar school district ever since.

What to Expect in Third Grade
I have always loved working with children. I strive to create a stimulating and creative working environment where all students feel part of the classroom community. I believe creative thinking and problem solving are important aspects of learning, as well as peer collaboration. My hope is that every student have a love of learning to take with them throughout life.
3rd grade is such an exciting year. 3rd grade is that transitional year when we prepare to move to the upper grades. 3rd graders learn about local history and government. We study weather, force and motion, and animal heredity. We read to learn, not learn to read. 3rd graders learn multiplication, division, fractions, and more. I can't wait to meet our new class! We are going to have a great year!
Life Outside the Hangar
When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family, which includes my husband, 2 children, and my rescue dog, Scout. This year my daughter will be a sophomore, and my son will be a senior, both at UC Irvine. I enjoy practicing yoga, reading, and walking my dog in my free time. I also volunteer for a dog rescue group. I am a native Californian who loves both the beach and the mountains. This summer my family vacationed in Lake Tahoe.
