My name is Wendy Correia and I am thrilled to be your child's kindergarten teacher. I am looking forward to a wonderful year together. I wanted to take a moment to share a little bit about myself.
My Education and Career
I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development. I then received my teaching credential from Chapman University. I started my career as a 1st grade teacher in Los Altos, California. I taught 1st grade there for two years before my husband and I relocated to San Diego. I became a part of the Sage Canyon family in 2001 and taught 1st grade for four years before moving to kindergarten. In 2007 I received my masters in Literacy Education from Cal State San Marcos along with my Reading Specialist Credential. This year will be my 28th year teaching.

My Family
I married my college sweetheart, Eric, and this year we celebrated 24 years of marriage. We have two beautiful daughters, Avery (age 20) and Elliot (age 18). Our family also includes, Olive and Bean (our 2 tuxedo cats) and our beloved rabbit Daisy. We enjoy traveling, hiking, listening to live music, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends and family.
