new pic.pdfMy husband, daughter and I moved from Los Angeles to San Diego 16 years ago. While in LA, I taught pre-k for 15 years, worked as a K-3rd grade aide, and a K-3rd grade after school supervisor. My husband, daughter, son and I reside in North County where we have five dogs, one goat, and eighteen chickens.
I am in my 10th year as an education specialist. I began working for DMUSD as an instructional aide at Ocean Air School, and was hired in 2014 as an education specialist. I am certified to work with students with special needs K-12. I have an English Language Learners authorization and my Master's in Special Education. This is my dream job and I am thankful to work here, especially with all of the families here in Del Mar!

Hi! Welcome to my class, I am excited about our new year and being part of your child's learning! Together we will work on strengthening your child's academic goals, but more importanly getting to know thier strenghts and what they can do!
I believe that all children learn at different times, they are all not the same. Therefore, my students should be taught in the ways they learn. I belive that they should enter my class knowing they are loved and accepted no matter what. Teaching with a positive attitude along with praising their acheivements lets them know I will never give up on them! I also believe that not only is the child an important piece, but so are you as their parent. Together we are team and as a team we will work together through communication that will pave a positive future for your child. My goal is to advocate , support, and guide them through their educational career so they feel confident in who they are as a learner and person!

Life Outside of the Dragon's Lair
Outside of the Teaching life, I enjoy being with my family. I have a daughter who is in 11th grade and a son who is in 8th grade. My husband, children, and I love to fish, enjoy the beach and lake, and take short day trips to places such as Julian and Idyllwild.
