Welcome to PE with Coach Hill

About Me

I was a graduate of Sacramento State University, where I ran Track & Field as a Division 1 sprinter. There I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Coaching and Conditioning and graduated with the honor of Summa Cum Laude. Following undergrad I pursued my teaching credential at SDSU (Go Aztecs!). My passion for teaching and helping young individuals foster a healthy long-lasting relationship with exercise, stems from my experience working with a variety of age groups and sports programs over the course of my career. In addition, I have many years of experience as a runner and athlete myself, and I still continue to remain very active.

Educational Philosophy

I firmly believe that a student cannot be successful in an environment that does not support them. As a physical educator it is a priority of mine to create an emotionally safe environment that supports all students, and empowers them to reach their goals while having fun, becoming physically literate and attaining moderate-vigorous physical activity. I hope to share my passion, experiences and knowledge to inspire students to establish a long-lasting and positive relationship with a healthy lifestyle.

What Can Students Expect To Do In PE?

Students can expect to learn new and exciting ways to engage in physical activity. They can also expect to learn many important social, emotional and physical skills. Most importantly students can expect to HAVE FUN in PE!

Over the course of this year students will engage in standards-based, unique and progressive lessons that I have designed to meet the needs of all learners, regardless of skill levels or experience. In addition, students will participate in various types of activities that will help them become physically literate individuals and further develop an appreciation for physical activity.
