 Educational Philosophy

I believe that every child should experience a quality education in a nurturing environment.  Each child should be recognized as a unique individual, praised for their talents, and supported through their challenges.  My role as the educator is to guide each child emotionally, socially, and intellectually in a secure, risk free atmosphere.  As the classroom teacher, I will devote my time to using a variety of teaching strategies to guide each child through their learning, supporting their individual needs and curiosity as they grow. I look forward to partnering with you in the education of your child!

Life Outside the Hangar

I come from a family of dedicated educators.  My mother retired after 30 years in education and my grandmother was a music teacher.  I’m also married to a teacher!  My husband, Robert, is a fifth grade teacher in the Chula Vista Elementary School District.  I'm incredibly proud to be a resident in the Pacific Sky boundary and a part of this community.  I am the proud mother of two boys Haydn (15 years old) and Colin (12 years old).   Haydn will be a sophomore at Torrey Pines High School this year, and Colin will be in seventh grade at Pacific Trails Middle School. We also have a cherished family pet, a dog named Carly. Outside of school, I value time with my family. We love camping and and enjoy being outdoors
