My name is Amber Tracy and I am thrilled to be the Pacific Sky Innovation Technologist this year! I’m excited about the opportunity to take on a role that combines creativity, collaboration, and a passion for meaningful learning. I'll be working side-by-side with classroom teachers to co-design and facilitate dynamic, cross-curricular experiences that ignite curiosity and deepen student engagement. By leveraging the design thinking process and integrating a wide range of technologies and resources, I hope to empower students through inquiry-based learning that cultivates critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. I’m eager to bring energy, innovation, and a student-centered mindset to this impactful work!
About Me
I have an 11 year daughter, Emerson, and an 8 year old son, Paxton. They will both be Pilots again this year, grades 3rd and 6th, and couldn't be more excited about it! They bring so much joy and happiness to my life. When we're away from school we enjoy the beach, hiking, travelling and exploring our beautiful city here in San Diego.
My Education and Career
After high school I came to San Diego from Northern California, to attend San Diego State where I earned my bachelor’s degree. After that, I went on to receive my teaching credential from a private university, and later a Master's of Arts in Education with an emphasis on Math and Science, also through SDSU. I started my career in third grade at Sage Canyon and then moved on to teach for 11 years at Carmel Del Mar in kindergarten and first grade. I'm now a year 4 Pilot, eager to be back in a new role for our 25/26 year!
