Educational Background and Professional Experience: Mrs. Domingo began working for the Del Mar Union School District in 2003. She taught for 11 years in DMUSD and in the Boston Public Schools in Massachusetts. After being an Assistant Principal in our district, she was the Principal at Ashley Falls School for 5 years. She joined the Torrey Hills students, staff and community for the 2020-2021 school year and is so lucky to be at our amazing school. She is very proud to be your principal!
Abby received her Teaching Credential from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, along with her Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and Sociology. Mrs. Domingo completed her Masters in Educational Leadership and earned her Administration Credential from Point Loma Nazarene University. She also holds a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Crosscultural, Language & Academic Development (CLAD) certificate.
In addition to being a Principal and Teacher, Abby also spent a few years providing professional development and coaching for teachers, school staffs, and parents all over the country through the Quantum Learning Network.
Educational Philosophy
My goal as a Principal is to help everyone become the best versions of themselves! Working with students, staff, and families brings me joy as we learn together, grow together, and support one another. My dream is to inspire others to reach heights they never even knew were possible and support them every step of the way.
You can expect this year to be joyful, meaningful, and memorable! We will make great growth within our learning, our relationships, our social emotional abilities, and we will create lasting memories together!

Life Outside of the Hawk's Nest
Abby Domingo lives with her husband, Chris Domingo, who is a high school administrator and their new son Myles! They were married in 2017 and both share a passion for education and supporting students, staffs, and families.
Abby grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts and has lived in all parts of the state including the island of Nantucket for a few summers where she nannied and worked at a golf club.
When she is not at school, she loves spending time with her friends and family. When she is spending time with people she cares about she is her happiest! She loves road trips, exploring, going for long walks, and putting her feet in the sand.
