Dear Parents,

Welcome to Summer Discoveries here at Del Mar Pines! My name is Laura Murphy and I am the coordinator for this year’s summer program. I wanted to make you aware of some important information. Please be sure to read through all of the information before the first day of class. We will have a table set up along the soccer field for students to pick up a name tag that will include the name and location of all their classes. DMP staff will be on hand to guide and direct students where to drop off their belongings. Students can play until the 9:00 am bell rings.

Session Dates:

Session I: June 16 - July 3

Session II: July 7- July 24

• Both Sessions run Monday - Thursday

• No School on Fridays

• Sessions are 12 days 

Student Drop Off: 

• Gates open @ 8:45 

• Parents can drop off near the front gate or walk their child on campus.

• Please do not park in the teacher’s lot during camp hours or in the 2-minute loading zone located in front of campus.

Pick Up:

• Camp dismissal is at 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m. & 2:30 p.m. and after camp child care pickup is any time before 5:00 pm if your child is checked into after school child care.

• Parents can either walk up or utilize the car line located in front of the school along Torrington Street. All students will be dismissed from the entrance to the school parking lot. 

• To use the car pickup, please drive up in the order you arrive along the right-hand side of Torrington Street.  Remain in your car and keep your engine running and a DMP staff member will direct you forward toward the teacher’s driveway.

• Please write your child’s name on a large piece of paper and place it in the front window of your vehicle.  One of the teachers will call your child’s name and assist them into your car.

• Please NEVER make a U-turn on Torrington.  If you continue straight on Torrington Street you will make a circle and return back to Hartfield.

• Please be on time for your child’s dismissal. 

• All aftercare pick-up will take place on campus. Please park and walk in to sign your student out. 

Waivers and Health Forms:

• All health and emergency forms must be filled out and returned to Del Mar Pines prior to the start of camp on June 16.  

• Each student must have a completed Liability Waiver and Emergency Form before being able to participate in Summer Discoveries.

Water Bottles and Backpacks:

• All students should bring a filled water bottle to school each day labeled with their name. We have an outdoor water station for refills. 

• Students can bring a backpack each day to carry their daily work, water bottle, snack, and lunch.

• If you would like to purchase a snack pass, please sign up on line.  ( $15 = 12 snacks, for 1 snack per camp day. Multiple passes may be purchased!) 

• Students should refrain from bringing any candy, smart watches, cellphones, or toys to school.
