General Information
Registration
Registration for families enrolled at DMP begins March 4th. Enrollment for all other families begins on March 15th. Applications are processed in the order they are received. Summer Discoveries classes are open to all children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade in the Fall 2025. Registration is on a first come first serve basis.
Tuition
Tuition includes all materials. Full tuition payment is due at the time of enrollment. Registration and payment are only accepted online. Payments are made at the time of registration through our registration service. We are offering a 5% discount if you sign up for a full day - 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. Not valid on aftercare.
Grade levels
We offer classes for students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall of 2025. All levels stated in the class descriptions refer to the grade your student will be entering in September 2025.
Attire
Summer is more relaxed so uniforms are not required. Please have your child dress in casual, comfortable clothing and we strongly recommend closed-toed shoes.
Withdrawal
If a student withdraws prior to May 15th, fifty percent (50%) of the tuition will be refunded. After this date, no refunds will be authorized.
Cancellation Policy
All classes are offered subject to adequate enrollment. If the minimum class size is not met, a 100% refund will be authorized. The summer program coordinator will consider the cancellation of under-enrolled classes by Monday, June 9.
Snack Pass
Give your camper a daily snack option with our Snack Pass. Purchase a 12 snack pass for $15 online when you register for Summer Discoveries. Campers can select one snack per day during their recess or during after school if they are enrolled in aftercare.
Snack Choices: Lays potato chips, Chewy granola bars, Nature Valley crunchy granola bars, Skinny Pop popcorn, That’s it - a 2 ingredient mini fruit bar, Cheese Its, Honest Kid’s organic juice box. (availability may vary)
After-School Care from 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM
We offer engaging after-school care with flexible options to fit your family’s needs
Full Session Package: $550 for 30 hours of care (covers the entire session).
Drop-In Rate: $25 per hour, billed in 15 minute increments ($6.25 per quarter hour)
Activities: Kids enjoy a variety of activities including free play, arts and crafts, supervised sports (kickball, tag, soccer, dodgeball, basketball and more, and quiet time with G-rated Disney+ shows (4:00 - 5:00 PM)
Late Pickup: A late fee of $1.00 per minute applies after 5:00 PM.
Frequently Asked Questions
If I register my child for the same class in both sessions, will they repeat the same material?
While some classes offered in both sessions cover the same core academic skills, we use different plays, books, novels, and essay topics in each session to provide a fresh and engaging learning experience. These classes include Del Mar Pines Players, Broadway Bound, Math, Jumpstart Readers, Reading/Writing Workshop, and Response to Literature through Reading and Writing.
What time do I drop off my child?
Students attending our morning sessions arrive between 8:45 and 9:00 am
Students attending afternoon classes only arrive five minutes prior to their class start time.
What time do I pick up my child?
Students attending classes that end at 12:00 noon must be picked up at 12:00 noon. Students attending classes that end at 1:30 & 2:30 must be picked up at those times and not more than 5 minutes after the end of class. At 2:35, your student will be enrolled in after care.
Students enrolled in both morning and afternoon classes stay on campus from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. for lunch and supervised play.
What if I arrive late for pickup?
After 5 minutes late from pick up, your student will be checked into aftercare, at a charge of $6.25/ 15 minutes. If you pick up your student after 5:00 pm from child care the late fee is also $1 per minute.
Are snacks and lunch provided?
No, students should bring provide their own bottled water and lunch.
We are offering a snack pass this year. You can purchase a snack pass for 12 snacks (1 per day) for $15. You may buy multiple snack passes if you would like your child to have a snack during recess and also after school during child care.
What should my child wear to class?
Summer Day Camp students do not need to wear uniforms but come to learn in comfortable, school appropriate, play clothes or "Free Dress" as we call it. We prefer your child wear closed toe shoes for their safety.
Do you provide make-up classes for absences?
We are unable to provide make-up classes due to student illness or vacation schedules.
No refund for any unused portion of your child care pass for a session.
