Welcome!
My name is Nicole Gohman and I am proud to be the Social Worker at DIS! I have been working as a School Social Worker for the past twelve years and I am happy to be in my nineth year with Delano Public Schools. I enjoy spending time with my husband (Matt) and three daughters (Jordyn, Kenzi, and Madison), practicing yoga, reading, and shopping.
The mission of school social work is to promote academic success by reducing social, emotional, economic and environmental barriers to learning. As the school social worker, I am here to offer support to students, families, and school staff. I work with students on various skills such as social skills, friendships, grief and loss, family change, self-esteem and self-confidence, anxiety management and more. I am happy to provide assistance with accessing outside support and provide resources for your child or your family. Additionally, I serve as a member of our Student Success Team, Tiger PRIDE PBIS committee, our District MTSS Committee, and I co-facilitate the DIS Student Council with Ms. Mathews.
I truly love working with the students and families at Delano Intermediate School. I welcome communication from all families. Please feel free to use me as a resource for any questions or concerns.
