What is GHP?
Governor's Honors Program (GHP) is a FREE four-week, summer residential program hosted by Georgia Southern designed for intellectually gifted and artistically talented high school sophomores and juniors.
The program offers challenging and enriching educational opportunities not usually available during the regular school year. Activities provide each participant with opportunities to acquire the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to become independent, leaders and life-long learners.
June 14, 2026– July 11, 2026
Students attend classes in the mornings and afternoons in specific areas of study, and they participate in a wide variety of social and instructional opportunities every evening.
Georgia Southern in Statesboro, GA
GHP is a residential educational experience on a college or university campus.
FULLY FUNDED
This fully funded opportunity includes the month of classes, books, room, board, and entertainment.
Required and expected costs to the students being

Be a current sophomore or junior
Receive a nomination/recommendation from a subject area teacher
Have demonstrated high aptitude and high interest in the area of nomination
Commit to the application, interview, and selection process
