Department Overview
Our World Language classes follow the National and State Standards which include Communication, Culture, Communities, Comparisons, and Connections.
DSA students learn the languages through teacher instruction, groupwork, reading authentic literature, and via hands-on projects including music, culture, food and art in the classroom.
Latin students are invited to participate in Junior Classical League (Latin Club) and earn membership in the National Latin Honor Society.
Spanish students may earn membership in the National Spanish Honor Society.
Additionally, both Spanish and Latin students participate in National Exams each year to compete for prizes and awards.
