What is the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program?
For the 2021-2022 school year, all students in grades 2-8 will participate in the ACAP Summative Assessment, which now serves as the statewide, end-of-the-year test.
Some features of the new ACAP Summative Assessment are listed below:
All students in grades 2-8 will take the reading and math portions of the ACAP.
Students in grades 4, 6, and 8 will take the science portion of the ACAP.
All students in grades 4-8 will complete a Text-Dependent Writing (TDW) session for reading.
Teachers are encouraged to provide students with practice and exposure to the test formatting and sample items. These resources can be found in the content area tabs on this website. Students need to become familiar with the Online Training Tools (OTTs), and sample test items are also available for review.
