Program Outline

Curriculum

1. This program is of one-year duration spread over 4 modules of 9 weeks each.
2. Each module comprises of 2 courses. Thus, there are 8 courses in this program.
3. Maximum permissible duration for the award of Certificate is 2 years.
4. Each course shall have 5 units with 30 to 35 lessons. Course resources i.e., syllabus, lecture videos, PPTs, Lecture notes, Question Banks will be made available to the registered students.
5. The outline of the structure of PGCFS is as given below:

2. CFM 101 Financial Markets

Module 2 : 1. MBM 422 Financial Management

2. CFM 201 Mutual Funds

Module 3 : 1. MBM 455 Financial Services

2. MBM 462 Risk Management

Module 4 : 1. MBM 456 Security Analysis & Portfolio Management

2. CFM 401 Commercial Banking

Scheme of Evaluation

There will be both Internal and External end module evaluation for each course. Internal evaluation of 150 marks and external module end evaluation is for 50 marks. For passing a course, students should secure a minimum of 70 marks in the combined internal and external evaluation.

Internal evaluation is based on Daily Home Assignments(DHAs) which are given at the end of each lesson, Class tests(CTs) conducted twice in a module and Additional Assignments(AAs) which are based on presentations of a topic/project etc. External evaluation is based on end module examination. All class tests and end module examinations will be conducted in the in the designated centres only.
