Defensia’s architecture is intentionally constrained to preserve reproducibility, governance stability, and deployment simplicity. The system does not rely on adaptive analytics, probabilistic modeling, live integrations, or workflow triggers. Its value comes from structural consistency: fixed logic applied to completed episodes produces stable, repeatable governance artifacts.
Fixed logic
No adaptive model behavior
Version-controlled
Releases tied to defined engine versions
Offline deployment
No EMR integration required initially
Reproducible outputs
Same input and same engine version produce the same output
Why this architecture matters.
For governance review to be credible, outputs must remain stable across time, sites, and reporting cycles. Defensia’s deterministic architecture reduces variability, lowers implementation friction, and supports repeatable executive review.
Fixed logic, stable outputs.
Defensia applies fixed, version-controlled logic to every processed dataset. The same input and the same engine version produce the same output. Logic changes occur only through deliberate, documented version updates, preserving stability across reporting cycles.
Version-stamped reproducibility.
Every release is tied to a defined engine version. Outputs can be reproduced on demand using the same source export and engine version, supporting consistent internal review and longitudinal governance comparison.
Offline, low-friction deployment.
Defensia operates offline on de-identified completed episode exports. No EMR integration, API connection, network dependency, or live workflow access is required for initial deployment. This containment reduces implementation burden and avoids operational disruption.
Intentionally bounded architecture.
Defensia is intentionally limited to retrospective governance artifacts. It does not modify clinical operations, trigger workflow actions, provide predictive modeling, determine reimbursement, or function as workflow software. Its purpose is singular: deterministic reconstruction of completed documentation episodes for governance review.
Consistent architecture across engagements.
Pilot and annual runs use the same deterministic architecture. Differences are limited to run cadence and engagement structure, not underlying system behavior. Infrastructure integrity remains constant across deployments.
