The Deer Lakes School District is located in the middle of the Alle-Kiski Valley in northeastern Allegheny County, approximately 25 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh. 

Deer Lakes has four schools including Curtisville Primary Center for students in grades K-2; East Union Intermediate Center for students in grades 3-5; Deer Lakes Middle School for students in 6-8 grade; and Deer Lakes high school for students in grades 9-12.
