NEXT MUSIC BOOSTER MEETING - Monday, November 9 @ 6:30 in the Music Commons. Please enter the school through Door #24 - Quarry Street Lot.
The Deerfield Music Boosters are a magical and impressive group of parents who band together to run events that benefit the Music Department and its students. The Boosters do a lot of work “behind the scenes” to help with concerts, musicals, solo & ensemble, and other events. They raise money to help – often offsetting the costs of activities for our MS and HS students.
We are looking for new parents to become active! Please consider attending! If you have love/time/energy to give to this organization - they would be grateful for your time and energy!
The Music Boosters help run and organize numerous events during the school year. These include food/concessions at the PTO craft fair, our annual Fruit Sale, helping decorate the HS Desert Show, and running our district Solo & Ensemble Festival. Even if you can help us with just one of these events, your time and talents will be greatly appreciated!
Some examples of what the Music Boosters have accomplished through funds and time donations:
Scholarships toward summer music camps and other music activities for students
Helped pay for/towards big items: light and sound equipment, stage platforms, band and choir uniforms, acoustic shell for concert, shoes
Providing meals/parties
Busses for field trips
Offset costs for other music trips and activities.
We're specifically looking for people willing to be in charge of things:
Helping organizing volunteers through Signup.com
Helping organize concessions at upcoming sports events
Running / Helping out at Concessions/food at the PTO Craft Fair in November
Helping with our HS Desert Show in December
Helping with SOLO & ENSEMBLE in February
Concessions
Volunteers
Baking/making
Set up/Tear down (students do most of this)
If you are interested in participating, but cannot make the meeting, please contact Mr. Petersen, Ms, Larson, or Nikki Frutiger.
Please consider lending some of your time and your unique talent to continue supporting the Music Boosters and our MS and HS Music Students!!
