Stencilfy: makes any text into a stencil, which is better for laser cutting
Problem: Laser doesn't cut all the way through the material
Solution 1: Wipe off the 3 mirrors with a lens wipe
Solution 2: Use 2 passes along your cut lines
Problem: Unsightly burn marks appear on the front of the material
Solution 1: turn down the heat
Solution 2: mirror the image so burn marks will be on the back
Solution 3: apply blue painter's tape to the surface before cutting
Problem: Text falls apart after cutting
Solution 1: stencilfy the font (this app creates an svg file of any text you give it -- bonus, you can upload and use any font you like)
Solution 2: Pick up the cut-apart text and creatively layer the materials onto a backing using glue (works best with paper)
For scores and cuts: Depth, Heat, and Speed all contribute to the appearance. Note that there's a huge jump in darkness from 25% to 50% heat.
